FACTORY RECONDITIONING PROCEDURES FOR

SEWN-END ELEMENTS

Our factory reconditioning service restores the worn filter element to original efficiency at a fraction of the cost of a new filter element.  Sunshine Filters also reconditions all other brands of sewn end elements.  Standard lead time for our reconditioning service is 2 to 3 work days to ship after elements are received.

  • Dirty elements are received at Sunshine Filters.  Worn media and gaskets are removed.  Metal support core is inspected for structural damage and repaired as needed.

  • Metal parts are power cleaned, wire brushed and soaked in a solvent solution.  The element is then coated with a sealant to protect against corrosion.  (Steel frames only)

  • New filter media and gaskets are fabricated and installed.  Elements are inspected a second time and returned to the customer.
